Recent gunfire started in a busy shopping center in Germantown of Philadelphia. According to the officials, it happened somewhere close to 8 pm BST.

Police suspect two men, at least, who started the fire from their car and made 18 shots into the group of people.

In the attacks 5 people were shot. It happened in the car park near the Freedom Square Shopping Center.

Richard Ross, the police commissioner of Philadelphia, said in his statement that multiple shots came from a White Chevy Impala, on the parking lot. They injured at least five people before speeding off to the northbound on Germantown Avenue.

According to the police, there are 2 19-year-old men who were injured, one 20 year old, and a 23-year-old.

Their condition is stable now, according to the authorities from the Police Department. Meanwhile, the fifth victim, a man of 20 years old is currently in a critical condition in the hospital.

Ross point out that police suspect intentional shooting. He says, all these men were targets, and not random.

While he suspects that there was some not important cause of the attack, there are a lot of questions that must be answered.

Investigation continues.

Only last month 2 people were shot in the same area in a drive-by case.
